What are the required ad image sizes for Facebook and Instagram?

Follow

There are currently 11 different ad placements available between the two platforms like Facebook messenger and Instagram stories. Please provide all sizes applicable for your campaign.

General Guidelines:

  • Images or videos that consist of more than 20% text may experience reduced delivery (this applies to all ad placements)
  • Provide the highest resolution image available
  • Accepted file types for Images: jpg or png
  • Accepted file types for videos: gif, mov or mp4
  • The vast majority of ad impressions happen on mobile. Ensure any text on the image is easily legible on mobile
  • Images that need to work for both the feed and stories are best when there is a central focus in the image and little to no overlay text as the image will need to show in both a square format and a cropped portrait version.
