What happened to Bounce Rate in Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?

Bounce Rate has been replaced with Engagement Rate in GA4. Previously, a bounce was triggered if a user visited your website and left without clicking a link or triggering any events, even if the user spent several minutes reading your content. In GA4, a bounce is only triggered if a user visits your site and stays for less than 10 seconds. Users who visit your site, stay for longer than 10 seconds, trigger 1 or more events or have 2 or more page or screen views are considered as engaged sessions, even if they never navigated from the landing page. This is particularly important for V2 of the booking engine as it is a single-page application.
